Before certain Runewords came into the picture, uniques like Windforce were considered the very powerful weapons due to their high damage output. Windforce is a unique Hydra Bow, and was, and is still a favorite among Amazons who used Bows as their weapons of choice (commonly referred to as Bowazons).

At first glance, Destruction is a very expensive Runeword, what with four of the five runes required being extremely rare Runes. Any Runeword with such a huge price must justify its cost to Diablo 2 players…but does Destruction do this? Let’s take a look at Destruction.

Is any pot comedy a must-see? I say yes. Not because I’m a pothead, although unlike Clinton, I have inhaled, but because potheads are hilarious! It’s been a while since we’ve had a good stoner comedy. Smiley Face was actually kind of frustrating in the way that stoners occasionally are. There’s Leaves of Grass, starring Edward Norton twins, but it will only be in theaters for a very limited run in September with a DVD release in October, and it’s not really a pothead comedy per se, anyway. Hopefully, this dry spell will soon be over with New Line’s We’re the Millers (no relation).

The L.A. Times has the exclusive details about the plot, which is about “a veteran pot dealer [who] decides to create a fake family (the eponymous Millers) to move a large shipment of marijuana across the U.S. border from Mexico.” Will wacky hijinks ensue? Will he forget where he put his keys? Will he start giggling at the border crossing? Who knows! I can’t wait to find out.

So far, the directors in the running are Charlie St. Cloud’s Burr Steers, or Sean Anders and John Morris, the guys who wrote Hot Tub Time Machine and Sex Drive. Anders also directed Sex Drive. You can guess who I’m rooting for to take the reins, right? Not the one who directed the Zac Efron weepy.

The script was originally written by the guys behind Wedding Crashers, Steve Faber and Bob Fisher, and is now getting a polish from Rich Rinaldi and Dan Fybel. Rinaldi and Fybel wrote a few eps of The Sarah Silverman Show, including “High, It’s Sarah,” which indicates that they‘re rather familiar with the topic. Watch a clip of “High, It’s Sarah” on Amazon
and YouTube. Apparently, Steve Buscemi was originally going to star, but there’s no more news on that front for now. Do it, Steve! Do it!

Good text adventure games have many, many rules to observe. Usually, these will be stored accessibly within a help file, and newbies will be strongly encouraged to read them before they start. Don’t be put off; the rules in a MUD (Multi-User Dungeon - think multiplayer text game and you won’t go wrong) aren’t there to stifle your freedom, rather to allow you to play within a safe, enjoyable environment.

Surprise, surprise. Microsoft would still like to do a Halo movie. And why not? According to Variety, the franchise has earned Microsoft a cool $2 billion since the first game’s release in 2001. Shouldn’t that mean a movie would be just the ticket to take Halo to the next level?

And what level is that, exactly? Would anyone even notice an extra couple of hundred millions sitting on top of a stack of billions? I‘m sorry — that’s me being presumptuous. I’m assuming that people actually enjoy movies based on video games. At best, they‘re just about the guiltiest of guilty pleasures (I have a soft spot for Resident Evil Extinction, along with the now-public shame of admitting it), and at worst they’re Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.

There was a time when the world made a kind of sense, and, a few years ago, I could understand why a studio wouldn’t want to spend $200 million on a Halo movie. It was a hugely expensive risk. In order for a $200 million dollar movie to be a bonafide hit, it can’t do it with fan support alone — your own sweet grandmother needs to see the trailer during Rachel Ray and decide she’s down for some Master Chief action on opening weekend. But, now that someone actually made a $200 million Prince of Persia movie, my whole world turned upside down. Prince of Persia? Really? Sure. Why not. So, go ahead, Microsoft. Make your big Halo movie. No one has ever accused you of never taking a big risk.
